Forrest Carman and I have worked together for more than 10 years, but I continue to be amazed by his hit rate. He’s the Ichiro Suzuki of media relations. He secured more than 50 article placements in May 2017. Five of those placements came with only 2 hours advance notice from the client to set up the briefings. He never ceases to amaze me or our clients.
In the PR industry we affectionately refer to someone like Forrest as a PR bulldog. He builds success upon success by respecting his editorial relationships and never nuisancing editors for short term gain. He knows who to contact, when to contact them and what to say.
I regularly meet clients who ask why can’t they just do media relations themselves. I tell them they absolutely can. And they will be wildly successful if they have the characteristics of a PR bulldog. Good job, Forrest.
